This software is for AIM® 6.x and AIM® Triton.
What Does It Do?
Lets you start and terminate the AIM® processes with one button, restore a lost shortcut, and access the various folders where the client is installed or has data.
Features
- Supports both AIM® 6.x and AIM® Triton.
(NOTE: AIM® Triton support is for legacy reasons only. I recommend you that you use AIM® 6.x) - Independently terminate all processes associated with each version of AIM® from a single buttton
- Restore a lost shortcut for the selected version of AIM.
- Launch the version of AIM® selected from a single button.
- One button access to the install, data, and cache folders.
- Automatically checks for updates.
- AIM 6.x Advance Tab: Lets you work with an AIM 6.x build installed in an alternate path.
- Add any number of alternate locations and pick them from a combo box.
- One button access to selected client's folder
- Terminate all processes running from the selected client's path and sub-folders
- Force aim: URLs to be handled by the selected client
- Alter the host and port settings. Any number of host:port combinations will be saved in the combo box.
- Clear the auto sign in flag for all identities.
- Specify optional command line arguments to be sent to the client when run.
- Run the selected client and configuration. (Also saves the data entered in this tab.)
- Written in C++ using COM, ATL, and WTL

System Requirements
- Windows® XP, Windows® 2K, Windows® XP 64-Bit.
- 128MB RAM (It is highly recommended that you get at least 256MB).
- You will need a compatible AIM® application such as AIM® 6.x
- At least 2 MB of disk space.

Already installed a previous version? Open the IM Control Panel window, click on the "About..." button and then on the "Check for Updates" button to download the latest version.
Lost your activation key? Re-enter your name and e-mail address and it will be sent again.

- How do I install and activate this software?
- Download the IM Control Panel installer using the link provided after you register.
- Install the IM Control Panel by running the installer.
- Launch the IM Control Panel application via the desktop shortcut.
- You should see a product activation dialog
Enter the E-mail and Code parameters of your Activation Key.
- What is OCP?
- This is an evolving AOL core technology that stands for "Open Client Platform". AIM® Triton is built on top of this. AIM® 6.x is also built using this technology but is installed in its own directory.
