A Few Good Updates…

IM Control PanelJust a quick post to let you know that I have updated my IM Control Panel and CoreWitness plugin. Basically, the IM Control Panel now supports AIM 6.1 and I added more details in the logging for secondary sessions in my CoreWitness plugin. See the respective links for more details.

I want to thank you all for your privately sent comments and suggestions for my RX-Plugin. I am prioritizing my list of new features to add and will be working on them soon. No ETA on when this will be out.

Finally, plugins 3 and 4 (as I am calling them) are in the early stages of development they should be interesting when they are done later this year.

    Hey Gus.
I’ve downloaded RX-Plugin and I was wondering if you can add rules such as “Pink Words” or “Brown words”? Are we able to use any other colors than just green, red and blue?

Also, I can’t get my AIM Colors Plugin to work, any suggestions?
I enabled it and even tried changing the hue cycle time, but no luck.
    Thanks in advance.

Neo, Absolutely, open the RX Plugin settings window and add a new rule by pressing on the + button at the bottom left of the rules tab. Give it a name and then create the match and replace parts like you see in the existing red, green, and blue word rules. The only thing you have to change is the color to apply in the replace part. This uses standard HTML markup.

Hi! I was just asking if the RX Plugin “idle status” can work on 6.1.41.2. do you know? I believe that is the latest version of aim.
I have tried logging in with another aim screen name on a different computer, and I don’t look idle there either. I do have “allow others to see idle status” checked. Other features of RX Plugin do seem to be working… Any insight? Thank you!

  7. Gus says:

Kate, Yes, it’s working in 6.1.41.2. Please see my post on this subject here: RX-Plugin’s Idle Lock Q&A Roundup. Let me know if you still see any problems.

  8. kate says:

Ok, thank you for the link! Unfortunately I already checked your Idle Lock Q&A roundup, tried uninstalling and re-installing both RX-Plugin and AIM, and I still seem to have a problem going idle. Haha–I guess you can tell I really like the idea of your plugin! Everything else works brilliantly!

Idle Lock does pop up in my tray like it is working, but I never go idle on my computer nor when viewed from another computer. Very sad…I guess I will continue to play around! Thank you for your response!

  9. kate says:

So I did a massive spyware, ad-ware, and virus scan all yesterday, and now idle lock seems to be working. thank you for your time! I guess some things tampered with the idle lock!

  10. Gus says:

Kate, be sure to try the latest RX-Plugin version 1.0.1 which has a much improved version of Idle Lock.

    Hey Gus!
Not sure if this is just for me but whenever I click “RX-Plugin Settings” it doesn’t pop up. Once in a while, it would pop up 30-60 minutes later when I’m doing something else. What’s wrong with it?
