[...] My understanding is that even altering the boxley files (.box) is changing a proprietary “file format” hence violating the EULA/TOS for those components. This was brought up on Gus Verdun’s blog when he changed the credits and asked others if they could figure it out Timmy stated that basically you’re violating the EULA and being an employee, probably shouldn’t recommend it.
This thread reminds me of the movie Wargames...

Malvin: I can't believe it, Jim. That girl's standing over there listening and you're telling him about our back doors?

Jim Sting: [yelling] Mister Potato Head! Mister Potato Head! Back doors are not secrets!

Malvin: Yeah, but Jim, you're giving away all our best tricks!

Jim Sting: They're not tricks.

:) hee hee

Actually Timmy, if you haven't figured it out yet, the reason we haven't obfuscated the code, markup, and theme resources for Triton is because we WANT people to play with extending it. It's been sanctioned by all involved closely with the project. Enjoy!

Jesse, you can't use a flash buddy icon. The reason being that the AIM server, not the AIM program limites the buddy icon to 10 kb.

Also, Timmy, modifying a string in a file that's openly avaliable (I would almost call it open source) is not what most people would consider reverse engineering...

Gus, by asking people to 'find' where AIM gets the credits from and modify them you're asking people to effectively reverse enginner and modify the software, both of which are prohibited by the AIM EULA and I'm sure would be frowned upon by your employer. You should be a little more careful about what you post here.
