Credit Where Credit is Due

AIM Triton Beta version 1.2.5.1 is out and I just wanted to point out a great thing AOL is doing these days and that is to give credit to those who have worked so hard on the software that is enjoyed by millions of users around the world. The AIM About window shows the names of all the teams and most of the people involved in developing this product.

This is me in the credits:

Me in the AIM Triton Credits

Would you like to see your name in the credits?

AIM Triton makes it very easy to fool your friends and family into thinking you did it all. And you can have fun doing it too. You will have to do some searching. (I’m not going to give you all the answers.) You just need to find how AIM gets its list of credits. (Yes, I just gave you the keyword to look for.) Take a look at that file and see if you can figure out how to put your name into it. One last clue: You will have to upload your credits file to a website or do some JavaScript programming to work around it.

With a little work you can make your about box look like this:

Gus Verdun Fake Credits

Enjoy. Oh, and tell me what you think of this beta version.
